As I type this, I am in so much anger with the minority of people who support the same football team as me. I have had a 'fellow supporter' calling me a Spurs fan in disguise for hitting out at the scum that sang 'viva Lazio' and it just got worse as the game went on when the scum started singing 'we'll stab who we want.'
Some people think that I am taking this a bit too seriously, but I can't stand stuff like this. Why can't we just enjoy the football and leave it at that? I don't mind a bit of banter, but there is a limit, and our scummy fans went well over that mark.
I don't think these idiots understand the sort of effect this has on our club, but more importantly than that, children had to listen to their fathers, people who are supposed to be their role models, chanting disgraceful stuff. What chance has a child got with a parent like that? Do these people understand that chanting 'viva Lazio' is pretty much just saying it is OK for people to go around and stab others!? I won't even get started on the Hitler chants.
I honestly do not care about the result of the game...this has affected me a lot more than the result. I work stupidly hard on the We love you West Ham project, and then our fans go and disgrace our club like that! I would be able to cope with it if it was a couple of people, but it wasn't! I might be taking this a step too far, but I am honestly contemplating whether I want to continue using a lot of my time to give a service to these scummy people.
I honestly do not understand what these people get out of it? They give our club a terrible image and I hope the FA investigates this, catches the people that was chanting and gives them lifelong bans from football. I want to apologise to Tottenham football club. I hope they realise that a majority of our fans are not scum and I can imagine a lot of the fans that did join in the chanting, just got caught up in the moment and will most likely regret it.....not that this is a good enough excuse.
I am going to have a long think about what I want to do regarding the site. Because I can only see things getting worse when they come to the Boleyn Ground in February.
I have had a few people ask me why I have not talked about the Tottenham supporters that was singing about Bobby Moore dying and other abuse that they was hurling at us. The reason is because I wanted to speak about the West Ham side of things....I am hoping there is a Spurs blogger out there that has done the exact same thing as I have done, but in retaliation to the Spurs fans singing their abuse aswell.
