Cardiff City vs West Ham United: Play-off Pre-match report

The only Injury concern that I have heard of is Joey O'Brien. West Ham have put together a special programme that will be on sale prior to Todays match. The programme contains 100 pages and Moose does a 4 page interview with Sir Trevor Brooking.

Malky Mackay pretty much have a fully fit first team to choose from. If i get more information regarding the team, I will update this page.

The players have to be able to play in the same way that they have been playing away from home all season long. The last time we went to the Cardiff City Stadium, we come away victorious with a 2-0 outcome. We go into this match in good form - 1 loss in 18 matches and 4 wins from our last 6.


I hope Big Sam does not set out to nick an early goal and then try and defend the 1-0 lead...I think it's going to be really important for us to try and win by a 2 or 3-0 margin, so that when we take it back to Upton Park, the home fan's nerves are settled and will be able to fully get behind the team.


I am glad Mr Allardyce took off Vaz Te and Cole when he did against Hull. Vaz Te was looking tired and Cole should go into Today's match full of confidence after scoring a brace against The Tigers. Hopefully Vaz Te will be fully rejuvenated and will be able to get onto scoring terms.


It will be essential that our midfield controls the middle of the park and with the experience of Nolan, the shift that O'Neil puts in, the creativity of Lansbury and the spirit of Noble(especially after winning hammer of the year)should be more than enough to do so. Although Cardiff have not lost at home in their last 6 matches, they have only managed to win 1  of those matches. But saying that, Cardiff will be full of motivation for winning their last match, which guaranteed their play-off position.


I really hope that Carlton Cole goes into this match full of confidence...when he is in the mood, he can cause complete havoc to the oppositions defence, which will create the space for Vaz Te to work with.
