I think we are seriously missing the creativity and goal-threat that Ricardo Vaz Te brings to the team. In my opinion Vaz Te, Faye and Baldock have been Big Sam's best signings. Sadly the latter hasn't really been given a real chance to show what he can do, but Faye has been by far our best defender this season. We then go onto Vaz Te. He likes to run at players...something that all of our other first team players seem to be afraid of! He is quick and can play on either wing.
I used to scream out for Taylor's return, but as Fareham said in his last post, he has been very poor since his return from injury. He is slow and never takes on his man. He is known for his amazing set-pieces, but for some reason Mark Noble seems to take all of the set-pieces? It just doesn't make any sense to me! I love Noble, but he and Big Sam should realise that he is poor at corners and freekicks.
Now let’s get onto Maynard; When are we going to play him in his natural position? HE IS NOT A LONE STRIKER; HE IS NOT A RIGHT WINGER! Please stop playing him out of his comfort zone...he is a proven goalscorer at this level, but Sam, you're not using him to his full potential! We need to see Maynard and Baldock upfront with the likes of Morrison, Vaz Te and Lansbury behind them. We have a team that is more than capable of playing fast-paced football across the floor, so why does Big Sam choose not to do so?
We are getting close and closer to the end of the season. Sam, you have the chance of either being loved or hated at West Ham. If you continue to stick to your stubborn, predictable and boring tactics...you will be hated. If you admit that the team that YOU CREATED has get enough nous to play the attractive football that all of us West Ham fans want to see, we would have a lot better chance of automatic promotion! Put your ego to one side and admit that you have made bad choices and rectify them! COME ON YOU IRONS!
